Education and Training

Education and training activities include traditional academic courses (taught through UCSD) as well as training courses and videos.  Projects at HRC often involve the development of systems for agencies and governments throughout the world.  Scientists from HRC and host agencies travel to and from HRC for extended training sessions.  HRC also supports visiting scholars, postdoctoral associates and students. Dr. Georgakakos is an adjunct faculty member of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). HRC supports graduate students attending Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UCSD and Dr. Georgakakos serves as their primary academic advisor and dissertation committee chair.
